On 31st December 2012, the 38th edition of the BOclassic New Year's Eve Run will be held in Bozen/Bolzano, South Tyrol, Italy. This international road race has established itself through the years as one of the top sporting event in its field.
World and Olympic champions as well as world record holders will entertain thousands of spectators packed along the streets of the historical centre of Bozen/Bolzano through a 1,250 metres long route. After running 4 rounds (5 km for the women’s race) and 8 rounds (10 km for the men’s race) the athletes are welcomed by a crowd of 10,000 supporters on Walther Square, the largest open-air living room of South Tyrol. Great excitement is guaranteed!
The two elite races are preceded by the Raiffeisen Youth Cup and the Ladurner Amateur Run, a very popular race for runners from all over Europe. The two elite races are broadcasted live by the Italian television RAI. The TV coverage can already count on several millions of spectators worldwide. We give a very warm welcome to all athletes, media representatives, sponsors, spectatorsand staff.
The organisation team of the Läufer Club Bozen has again dedicated itself to the full success of this new 2012 edition of the BOclassic sporting event and wishes to make it unforgettable. Since last year's edition, the beginning of the event has been anticipated to the previous evening when the top athletes receive their numbers.
